Five Pillars of  ISLAM

Praise be to Allaah. Islam is based on five pillars which the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has explained for us, when he said:

“Islam is built upon five [pillars]: the testimony that there is no god but Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah; establishing regular prayer (salaah); paying the
 zakaah; Hajj (pilgrimage) and fasting Ramadaan.”

(Agreed upon; narrated by al-Bukhaari, no. 8)

First pillar of Islam :

Al-Shahaadatayn

(the twin testimony of faith

Second pillar  of Islam :

Salaah 

(prayer)

Third pillar  of Islam :

Zakaah (poor due, charity tax)

Fourth pillar  of Islam :

Sawm

(fastingin Ramadaan)

Fifth pillar  of Islam :

Hajj

(pilgrimage to Mecca)

These are the 5 pillars of Islam. These 5 pillars of Islam teach is firstly that none is worthy of worship accept Allah and Muhammad is the last and final Messenger and Prophet of Allah. And secoundly these 5 pillars of Islam teach us obedience to Allah.
